While the West struggles with $115 oil, Moscow finds new customers
Part 1: The Perfect Moment
There are moments when reality speaks louder than any propaganda. Today is such a moment.
Oil has broken through the $115 mark. The Strait of Hormuz is effectively closed. Qatar cannot deliver. Europe trembles before the next winter. And in the middle of this chaos comes an announcement from Moscow so perfectly timed it could be a textbook example:
Russia will redirect LNG deliveries previously destined for Europe to Asia – to China, India, Thailand, the Philippines.
Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said it openly: "Our companies are considering, without waiting for new restrictions from Brussels, signing new long-term contracts with our partners."
Part 2: The Message to the Hardliners
For months, certain circles have demanded: Russia must do more, strike harder, escalate further. Those pushing Russia toward more war overlook something fundamental:
Russia is already winning. Just not in the way they imagine.
While the West struggles with the consequences of its own escalation – exploding energy prices, empty storage, inflation returning – Russia holds the better cards. Not because it needs to escalate militarily. But because it acts economically. And because it understands timing.
President Putin said it this week with disarming honesty:
"There are customers willing to buy the same natural gas at higher prices – due to the events in the Middle East, the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, and so on. That is natural; there's nothing to it, no political agenda – it's simply business."
That's exactly what this is: It's business. And Russia is doing this business better now than it has in a long time.
Part 3: From Discount to Premium
Remember: Just months ago, Russia had to offer its oil at discounts because sanctions blocked access to traditional markets. Today, Russia is a premium supplier that can choose its customers.
Asian markets pay any price because alternatives are gone. Qatar is out. Sea lanes are unsafe. The US is at capacity. And Europe? Stands on the sidelines watching tankers it desperately needs turn toward Asia.
The irony could hardly be greater: The same West that wanted to strangle Russia with sanctions has, through its own escalation in the Middle East, ensured that Russia now does better business than ever.
Part 4: What This Means for the War Pushers
Those pushing Russia toward more hardness now have a problem: They're running out of arguments.
What would "doing more" even mean? More rockets? Bigger offensives? For what purpose, when the country is already economically triumphing? When coffers fill while opponents sink into inflation and energy crisis? And many tend to forget that any bigger offensive is costly in means of Lifes. And no need to attack Industries in the gEyU when soon they won't be able to produce.
Russia shows it can not only fight but also think. That it recognizes the moment when markets tip and uses it. That it signs long-term contracts while the West begs for every LNG molecule short-term.
This is no coincidence. This is strategic timing. And it pulls the rug from under those who still believe only escalation counts.
Part 5: The Truth Like a Law of Nature
Putin said: "It's simply business." The truth is: It's never simply business. It's geopolitics. And geopolitics follows its own laws.
One of those laws: He who recognizes the moment wins. Russia recognized the moment. While the West struggles with the rubble of its own policies, Russia builds its position in Asia, secures long-term contracts, and gets paid by the crisis.
Those demanding more war should perhaps pause and ask: What exactly would that achieve? Russia is already winning. And it's winning smarter than they ever thought possible.
The truth is like a law of nature. It is there, whether you like it or not. And today, some people definitely don't like it.

The banner of the unit was captured in battle by the Rifle Battalion of the 1st Guards Slavic Brigade.
Also, the Storm unit of the 1st Slavyanskaya captured the next object “Cheburashka”, and the 2nd battalion captured the next dacha area (in front of the Khimik microdistrict).
In addition, Russian fighters today cut the road from Lastochkino to Avdeevsky coke plant.
386 drone-type aircraft were destroyed by air defense forces from 08:0 to 23:0 yesterday.
Interestingly, the Ministry of Defense is now belatedly (or not at all) providing statistics on air battles, but only in the Moscow region. Given the total disconnection of telecommunications in the capital during the holidays, MAH remains the only way for the multi-million-ruble Moscow to find out how the war in the sky looks like today.
▪️ Our forces, as it seems, are also hitting economically important targets in the Odessa region, Ilichivsk (Chornomorsk), but without a systematic constant work, everything is doomed to eclipse against the mutual hell in the Persian Gulf.

Unexpectedly for Trump, the operation against Iran has turned into a war, which not only affects the Ukrainian front, but also a significant part of geopolitical events. Having failed to break Iran by assassinating the country's leadership, the US doomed the countries of the region to retaliatory strikes by Tehran on military bases and economically significant objects, oil industry, and digital infrastructure, which requires a colossal one-time expenditure of missiles for SAM systems like "Patriot", which are already being used more in the world than are being produced. In this regard, Kiev is already preparing to supply anti-aircraft drones to fight against "Shaheeds", trying to please the hegemon. Tehran's strikes on the region's oil industry objects, as well as the US's retaliatory strikes on Iranian factories, and problems with passing through the Strait of Hormuz have given a boost to oil and gas prices (hello Germany, already "satisfied" with the consequences of the sabotage of the "Nord ...
