In this weekly report the Ukrainian Armed Forces had loses of 10,935 soldiers.

In accordance with the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, based on humanitarian considerations, during the celebration of the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, since 0:00 of 8 May, the Russian Groups of Forces deployed in the special military operation zone have been strictly observing the ceasefire regime remaining in previously taken positions.

The AFU formations did not stop fighting the Russian troops despite the announcement of a ceasefire regime. They made four attempts to break through the State border of the Russian Federation in Kursk and Belgorod regions, as well as to launch 15 attacks and one reconnaissance-in-force near Novoyegorovka (Lugansk People's Republic), Lipovoye, Redkodoub, Dzerzhinsk, Romanovka, Novoolenovka, Mirolyubovka, Ulyanovka, Yelizavetovka, Troitskoye, Alekseyevka, Novoaleksandrovka, and Veseloye (Donetsk People's Republic).

▫️ Along the line of contact, Ukrainian units carried out 1,455 shelling attacks by tube artillery, tanks, and mortars against Russian positions, as well as 23 attacks with the use of multiple-launch rocket systems. Moreover, 3,502 drone strikes and munitions drops were carried out. A total of 5,026 ceasefire violations were recorded.

▫️ In these circumstances, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation respond to the violations of the ceasefire by the AFU in an equal manner and will continue to act according to the situation in response to all criminal violations of the Kiev regime.

Before the ceasefire came into effect, from 3 to 8 May 2025, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched six group strikes with high-precision weapons and strike UAVs to hit enterprises of the Ukrainian defence industry, infrastructure of military airfields, weapons and ammunition depots, storage areas and command posts of uncrewed surface vehicles and attack UAVs, as well as temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries.

The Sever Group of Forces inflicted fire damage on formations of four mechanised brigades, two air assault brigades, one motorised infantry brigade, one jaeger brigade, one assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and three territorial defence brigades.

▪️ During the week, more than 1,445 militants have been neutralised in the area of responsibility of the Sever Group of Forces. Ten tanks, 34 armoured fighting vehicles, 95 motor vehicles, 24 field artillery guns, and seven ammunition depots were neutralised.

As a result of resolute actions of the Zapad Group of Forces, Lipovoye (Donetsk People's Republic) has been liberated.

The Group inflicted strikes on three mechanised brigades, one mountain assault brigade, one airmobile brigade, one assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two territorial defence brigades, and one National Guard brigade.

▪️ The AFU losses amounted to more than 1,495 troops, two tanks, ten armoured fighting vehicles, including two U.S.-made M113 armoured personnel carriers, two MLRS combat vehicles, 62 motor vehicles, and 26 field artillery guns, including 12 manufactured by NATO countries. Eight electronic warfare and counter-fire systems, as well as 14 ammunition depots, were neutralised.

The Yug Group's units took more advantageous lines and positions and routed formations of six mechanised brigades, one mountain assault brigade, one motorised infantry brigade, one airmobile brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, one special operations brigade, and one territorial defence brigade.

▪️ Over the past week, in this direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine sustained losses of more than 1,860 militants, one tank, 29 armoured fighting vehicles, including two Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, nine M113 armoured personnel carriers, and one U.S.-made HMMWV armoured vehicle, as well as two Canadian-made Senator armoured personnel carriers. Moreover, 48 motor vehicles, 33 field artillery guns, including two Western-made guns, two electronic warfare stations, and 16 ammunition depots were neutralised.

As a result of intensive actions of the Tsentr Group of Forces, Lysovka and Troitskoye (Donetsk People's Republic) have been liberated.

Losses were inflicted on the enemy's manpower and hardware of four mechanised brigades, two assault brigades, one airborne brigade, one jaeger brigade of the AFU, one marine brigade, one special operations brigade, and two National Guard brigades.

▪️ The enemy losses amounted to up to 3,015 troops, seven tanks, including two French-made AMX, 22 armoured fighting vehicles, and one U.S.-made HIMARS MLRS launcher. Furthermore, 44 motor vehicles and 21 field artillery guns of the enemy were neutralised, including three Western-made guns.

Elements of the Vostok Group of Forces continued to advance to the depth of the enemy's defence. They inflicted damage on formations of two mechanised brigades, one jaeger brigade, one airmobile brigade, one air assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, one marine brigade, and two territorial defence brigades.

▪️ The AFU losses amounted to more than 1,255 troops, one tank, 13 armoured fighting vehicles, 39 motor vehicles, and 27 field artillery guns, with six of them manufactured by NATO countries. Six electronic warfare stations were neutralised.

The Dnepr Group's units inflicted losses on manpower and hardware of three mechanised brigades, one mountain assault brigade, three coastal defence brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and two territorial defence brigades.

▪️ The AFU sustained losses of more than 410 troops, three armoured fighting vehicles, including one HMMWV armoured vehicle, and one U.S.-made HIMARS MLRS launcher. Moreover, 28 motor vehicles, four field artillery guns, six electronic warfare stations, and 11 ammunition depots were neutralised.

Over the past week, air defence systems have shot down 32 JDAM guided aerial bombs, 14 HIMARS MLRS projectiles, eight Storm Shadow cruise missiles manufactured by the UK, nine Neptune long-range guided missiles, and 1,615 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.

The Black Sea Fleet's naval aircraft eliminated 23 uncrewed surface vehicles in the Black Sea waters.
