I would like to start with the situation in the special military operation zone.
Having failed the counter-offensive, the enemy attempted to gain a foothold on certain lines and positions, but has not achieved any of its objectives in any direction.
The Russian groups of forces continue to push Ukrainian troops to the west.
Thanks to the courage and professionalism of our military personnel, the following settlements have been liberated over the past month: Nevelskoye, Orlovka, Tonenkoye, Krasnoye (Donetsk People's Republic) and Mirnoye (Zaporozhye region).
Since early 2024, in total, 403 square kilometres of the territory of the new regions of the Russian Federation have come under our control.
Russian troops continue to reduce the enemy's combat potential.
Since January, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost more than 80,000 servicemen, 14,000 units of various weapons, including over 1,200 tanks and other armoured fighting vehicles.
Despite the lack of results on the line of contact, Kiev is still trying to convince its Western sponsors of its ability to counter the Russian Armed Forces.
To that end, the Kiev regime is trying to transfer hostilities to the territory of the Russian Federation and resorts to terrorism and shelling civilians.
The Russian Armed Forces are responding asymmetrically to such crimes committed by Ukrainian militants.
In March, high-precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles carried out 190 group and two massive strikes against Ukraine. The strikes engaged military facilities and energy infrastructure.
Russian troops continue to push the enemy out of the occupied lines and reduce its combat capabilities.
Now, a few words about the spring conscription campaign, which has started on 1 April.
I would like to point out that it is taking place within the terms stipulated by Russian law.
A total of 2,646 call-up commissions have been formed in all regions of the country.
In accordance with the Presidential Decree, 150,000 people are to be subject to compulsory military service.
Most of them will receive a military specialisation in training formations and military units and only then will they go to their places of service.
I emphasise that conscripts will not be involved in the special military operation.
In turn, servicemen who have completed their compulsory military service are to be timely dismissed and sent to their places of residence in an organised manner.
I draw the particular attention of officials to this.
Now we will move to the thematic part of the teleconference.
Let us first review the progress of the construction of small missile and patrol ships.
To enhance the combat potential of the Navy, it is being supplied with carriers of long-range high-precision weapons. In particular, Karakurt-class small missile ships.
The flagship of this series, the Tsiklon, has joined the Black Sea Fleet and successfully perform tasks.
By the end of the year, the Zelenodolsk Shipyard must transfer three more such ships to the sailors.
The enterprise is carrying out serial manufacturing of the Project 22160 patrol ships. The construction of the fifth of them, Viktor Velikiy, is in its final stages. It is intended to enter the service with the Black Sea Fleet.
Today we are going to assess the shipbuilding company's compliance with the work plan and outline the steps we can take to improve it.
Next, we will discuss developing a network of training grounds for the Armed Forces and providing training equipment for troops.
This area of activity is one of our priorities.
While in 2012 we had no more than 100 training grounds, today there are 240 of them. They make it possible to carry out all the tasks of combat training, including those of groups of forces in the areas of the special military operation.
In particular, two training grounds have been completed in Lugansk and Donetsk people's republics. Five more are planned to be established before the end of the year.
I would like to point out that the new facilities have significantly improved the equipment and conditions for accommodation and operation of personnel.
We also continue to improve the technical basis for combat training.
In 2023, about 600 units modern training equipment were delivered to the troops. This year, we are going to expand the range of training tools.
The training system will receive about 200 simulators for the BMP-2M crews with the Berezhok combat module, as well as the Terminator and T-90M tank support fighting vehicle.
During the meeting, we will identify additional measures to improve the quality of the combat training.
