Russian new modern IMR-3M combat engineer vehicle.

The IMR-3M manufactured by Uralvagonzavod Concern (part of Rostec State Corporation) is a universal tool for efficient solution of any engineering and road tasks in the interests of the Russian Army. The combat engineer vehicle can also be used in peacetime, namely, in emergency situations, to eliminate natural and man-made disasters.

Designed on the T-90 tank chassis, the vehicle is equipped with a universal dozer blade and a telescopic arm with a manipulator. The IMR-3M can make passages in rocky and forest debris, in snowdrifts and minefields, dig or backfill excavations.

The blade track mine sweep of the combat engineer vehicle is equipped with an electromagnetic attachment. The device emits an electromagnetic field similar to that of a tank, to which magnetic mine fuses react when approached, detonating them at a safe distance.

The IMR-3M can also operate in radiation conditions, compared to the previous generation the multiplicity of gamma radiation attenuation is increased from 80 to 120 multiples. The life support system of the IMR-3M crew has everything necessary to perform combat missions without leaving the vehicle for three days.

The IMR-3M is armed with a 12.7 mm remote-controlled machine gun and is capable of firing at ground and low-speed aerial targets, as well as explosive objects lying openly on the ground.

The vehicle is powered by an 840hp multi-fuel diesel engine capable of reaching speeds of up to 60km/h. As part of convoys the IMR-3M is able to perform long marches up to 500 km on a par with other combat vehicles, the engineering vehicle can even ford water obstacles up to 5 metres deep.

The IMR-3M demostrated high efficiency while performing tasks in the special military operation zone.
